Faculty, staff, and student researchers affiliated with the Institute for Urban and Regional Infrastructure Finance (IURIF) have won the 2022 Robert C. Johns Research Partnership Award from the Center for Transportation Studies, for their Minnesota Distance-Based Fee Demonstration.
Humphrey School PhD candidate Tao Tao and Professor Jason Cao published the paper, “Examining
motivations for owning autonomous vehicles: Implications for land use and transportation,” in the Journal
of Transport Geography.
Associate Professor Ryan Allen, along with former Humphrey School Associate Dean Carissa Slotterback, have received the 2022 Best Article in the Journal of Urban Affairs Award for their article, “Building immigrant engagement practice in urban planning: The case of Somali refugees in the Twin Cities.”
Humphrey School alumna Katie Emory, Professor Jason Cao, and Frank Douma published the paper, “Autonomous Vehicle Policies with Equity Implications: Patterns and Gaps,” in Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives. This work was funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
Assistant Professor Fayola Jacobs has been invited to be an author on the Human Social Systems chapter of the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5), a congressionally mandated report on climate change impacts, risks, and adaptation across the United States.
Professor Jason Cao co-edited a new book, Urban Transport and Land Use Planning: A Synthesis of Global Knowledge, recently published by Elsevier Academic Press.
