    Florence Ojanduru Orionzi, born and raised in Uganda, is the executive director for the central Minnesota-based organization African Women’s Alliance. As a former refugee, immigrant, and Black mother to four children, Florence is an experienced advocate in supporting the development of local refugee and immigrant communities through the intersections of race, migration, and culture in a setting such as Minnesota and the greater United States. Passionate about education, Florence has also been teaching for 20+ years with a current focus on early childhood development. She holds a bachelor of science from National University of Lesotho, master of science in early childhood family education from St. Cloud State University, and is a Minnesota parent and life science educator. She is fluent in Lugbara and English.
