Karl Hedlund (he/him) is an outreach specialist for Move Minneapolis, downtown’s transportation management organization. He is dedicated towards eliminating barriers to sustainable transportation, with a vision of communities where a safe commute to the grocery store can be the best part of your day. Starting in bicycle advocacy, Karl’s career has evolved from empowering individuals to change their own commutes to fighting for systematic mobility justice. Across local nonprofits, Karl has taught hundreds of adults to bike for the first time, coordinated Bikeable Community Workshops across the state and improved employers’ commuter benefits programs. He also serves on the Minneapolis Bicycle Advisory Committee and the board of Our Streets Minneapolis.
