Sonji Davis is the workforce policy coordinator for the Governor's Workforce Development Board working within the Department of Employment and Economic Development. The congressional and federal intent of the board is to be a centralized coordinating body for workforce strategies. She is the state’s contact for regional and local WIOA plans providing guidance for workforce development areas. Previously, she worked for Workforce Development, Inc. a private nonprofit service provider of southeast Greater Minnesota as the adult and dislocated worker coordinator. She attended Spelman College and graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago with her bachelor’s in psychology. She is the mother of two boys and enjoys reading, walking and Pilates.
