Throughout his career in education, Ibrahim became a voice for immigrant students and students of color by recognizing unique barriers they face and working to reduce them so that students can succeed. In addition to his long spanning career in education, Ibrahim taught business workshops at the Neighborhood Development Center, a non-profit organization that guides entrepreneurial success for small local businesses, resulting in numerous Somali immigrants starting their own businesses.
